Genocide and Mass Atrocities as a Global Public Health Emergency
Genocide and mass atrocities produce catastrophic public health consequences: destruction of healthcare infrastructure, systematic targeting of healthcare workers, forced starvation, denial of medical access, and the resurgence of preventable infectious diseases. These violations constitute direct assaults on human health and survival.
Doctors Against Genocide convenes this annual conference to examine the evidence, document the impact on health systems and populations, and develop strategies for prevention, accountability, and response.
Doctors Against Genocide welcomes accredited journalists, media outlets, and health reporters to attend the conference. Sessions will provide critical documentation of medical testimony, evidence from conflict zones, and expert analysis relevant to ongoing international debates on humanitarian law and genocide prevention.
